We are incredibly proud to say that we’ve been awarded the Dyslexia Friendly Quality Mark by Ako Aotearoa. That means we’ve taken real steps to make sure our space works for people with learning differences—especially rangatahi with dyslexia.
✔️ What It Means
Being “Dyslexia Friendly” means we:
Understand how dyslexia and other learning differences show up
Use tools and resources that help everyone understand and be understood
Create a space where reading, writing, learning and communicating feel safe and supported
Are always learning and growing so we can do better for our rangatahi
💬 Why It Matters to Us
We believe that neurodiversity is a strength.
No two brains are the same—and that’s awesome.
We want every young person to feel:
Respected
Understood
Confident being exactly who they are
🌈 What You Can Expect
If you come to us, here’s what we do to make things easier:
Use clear and plain language
Avoid big chunks of text
Offer help with forms, reading, or spelling if you need it
Give you time to process and respond in your own way
Let you choose how to communicate: talking, writing, drawing, or just having a walk and chat. You can always let us know what works best for you 💛
